Hi! I just found your web site: Elements Restaurant Culinary Tourism Guide | Peterborough & The Kawarthas Tourism when I was surfing around reddit.com. It looks as though someone liked your site so much they decided to bookmark it. I'll certainly be returning here more often.

I made my first visit today -- everyone enjoyed their lunch but boy were we envious of the dining companion who ordered one of the lunchtime specials, a pasta dish with sweet peppers and a not-too rich tomato cream sauce made with pasta made in a specialty shop just up the street. What an impressive use of local ingredients on the menu. Fantastic. The server was excellent. I'm looking forward to visiting again the next time I'm in Peterborough.

We had our wedding reception here in 2005. Norm, Damien and the rest of the staff did an AWESOME job on all fronts. Our guests had their choice of a number of items from the menu. The restaurant was decorated very tastefully with twinkling candles creating a relaxing atmosphere. A beautiful bouquet of flowers courtesy of Norm was waiting for us at our head table with a lovely card. My guests are still talking about it! Thank you Elements!

The menu is always changing and it is nice to eat food with a local flair to it.

Food is really tasty. Portions are fairly small so for a big guy like myself, I was left with some room in my stomach.

Definitely worth checking out!

I’m from Toronto and had the opportunity to eat at Elements in late January 2010. Ended up ordering the soup of the day a chicken/bacon/bean… it was good but the star of the lunch was the pulled boar sandwich which was was better than any pulled BBQ type sandwich I’ve had other than Phils Original BBQ in Toronto. The chef at Elements obviously cares the meat was tender and juicy, the side of fries cooked to perfection and rock salted, and the cabbage salad side dish was a perfect compliment. Anytime I’m passing through Peterborough this will become a regular stop for me.
