Kubo Lounge
A LITTLE ABOUT US
Twelve years after Neil Quiano’s Cosmic Charlie’s introduced interesting Asian cuisine to Peterborough, Neil’s latest venture, Kubo Lounge, opened its carved hardwood doors in 2009.
Chefs Neil Quiano and Jacqueline Greenwood work with what inspires, pursuing quality above all else. Part tapas bar/restaurant, part night-club – all class, Kubo Lounge features inventive menu offerings, exquisitely presented, but without attitude.
At the bar, the beer selection may include Hockley dark, Mill Street Organic ale and Stiegl. Patrons can enjoy Rekorderlig (a Belgian mixed berry cider) or Portuguese, French, and Chilean wines, as well as sparkling wine cocktails made with fresh fruit puree.
In the evening the club atmosphere picks up, many nights featuring live music or DJs playing fresh material in the beautiful, chill environment of the Lounge.

Hi!
Great place you have! Check out http://www.besharah.ca if you are interested in having us play at Kubo. We have three albums out – a fourth on the way. I live in Lakefield and the rest of the band is Toronto-based. We’d play as a duo for you. Your crowd would like us, I’m thinking.
Thanks!
Lizzie Shanks
Thank you Neil – my colleagues and I think this is the best! We’ve enjoyed many delightful after work martinis and delicious appetizers. Looking forward to our next “birthday” celebration.
This is a favourite spot… the food is exceptional – delicious and resounding with flavour. Great service, ambience and a wonderful martini menu!
We hung out at Kubo on a Friday night and it was great! Everyone’s food was delicious. I had the pork su mai (dumplings) and olive tapenade with pita. Kubo has a huge selection of bottled beers from all over the world. I tried a refreshing organic brew from England that had a unique raspberry flavour. Service was friendly, I think the server’s name was Patrick. Cool dude!
There was a Kubo restaurant in Leslieville that I used to get lychee martinis and wicked tapas at the bar after parsing the St Lawrence market on saturday afternoons. Sadly, they are gone from their location, so I wonder if you are – shall I say, ” related” to that place in TO? I have not been in yet to your place, but now I am curious!
Thanks Neil for a great night last night. We brought a bachelorette party of 24 woman to Kubo, and had a blast. Great music too!
